Don't expect to plug this into the top outlet of a standard receptacle and be able to use the lower outlet. The body of the light extends just far enough below to block use of the lower outlet to all but the most slender plug (i.e., one barely taller than the prongs themselves).Rating
After obtaining an outlet expander designed to accommodate transformers (wall warts), I noticed the next day the light was on, which should have only happened if there was a power failure, as it was set to the emergency mode, not nightlight mode. I discovered the left prong had detached from the unit. Given that it might be expected this unit would be unplugged to be used as a flashlight during a power failure, such a failure would appear to indicate a poor design.
A good concept, but unfortunately a problematic design and not very durable. (Posted on 3/4/11)
