This is really a pretty nice light for the price.
Compared to my Fenix PD30, a flashlight worth four times the price of the NF015, the output of the NF015 is about equal to the high, non-turbo level of the Fenix, which is about 140 lumens. The NF015 is also about the same length as my Fenix, but about twice the diameter. This is like the the low cost nine-LED flashlights on steroids, with the three AAA batteries, but one single super bright LED.

Pros
The center spot is tight and bright, and can project it's beam a long distance. The light is a good color, very bright, and is quite usable. Uses three inexpensive AAA batteries. Generally well finished, nicely threaded parts.

Cons
The beam of the NF015 is not as smooth as the Fenix; the center spot of the NF015 has a sharp cut-off, a few low spots, a bit of a hallo, and is a bit blueish. This light cannot stand on it's tail as an interior area light. This has a plastic reflector and lens, I don't know if they will hold up over long periods of use. Very light construction, not heavy duty. The boot over the tail cap switch seems very thin and weak.

This was a good choice, it is a lot of light for the money. Good for in the car, or around the house.
If you want a bright light for less than $30 or more, this is a good start. (Posted on 3/12/11)

I ordered two of these, one for me, and one as a gift for a friend. He takes nighttime nature walks, I walk my German Shepherd at night on my property. We are both well-pleased with these lights. They are well-made, well-finished, and have an incredible light output and good battery life. I have owned and operated more than a few top-end police lights, and this is as good as the best of them for light output vs. battery type and life. It uses three standard AAA batteries, which clip into a battery holder. This is about the only thing I see which could be corrected; the holder is flimsy. The rest of the light seems very sturdy. For police or security work, a switch with a momentary feature (press halfway, it comes on while you hold it, all the way, it stays on) would be nice. This light only has an off/on switch. For general users, though, it's perfect, just be careful with the cheesy battery holder. (Posted on 12/16/10)

I have had several LED lights in the past and all of them gave good but soft focus lighting. This one has a very sharp center focus sweet spot that is very bright and then fades somewhat to a softer outer ring. The range was great andthe focus stays sharp even out to 20 yars or more. I ordered two Cree XLamp flashlights just to test the brightness in total darkness. The range and brightness is amazing. I ordered additional Cree flashlights for several friends and co-workers, they were so surprised of price for such a powerful small flashlight.

I've bought several of these flashlights, gave away as gifts, I have never seen such happy expressions. All you need to do is turn it on at night, enough said... well, tell them "not to look into the light". I had one light out of 15+ that the end cap was not working, i emailed and explained to Gary, i mailed them the defective light and they replaced it. Really happy with the products and staff . I was not prepared with how bright the light is and indirectly, how cheap the price is for the brightness. I tried to look directly at the light but couldn't; it was so bright that I could only take a quick peek. Also, equally surprisingly was the fact that 2 of the 3 AAA batteries that I used were old ones. I compared it side by side against my current flashlight and the difference was astronomical. The color of this flashlight is amazingly a bright white whereas my old flashlight was more of a yellow/brown color. (Posted on 2/3/10)

I purchased 8 of these F-NF015 flashlights, and everyone that I gifted one to was totally amazed by their "blinding" output, and impressive build quality!
I am very happy with mine. These units are very compact, and very handy. I would recommend this to anyone that wants an extremely potent, compact flashlight.

Of the 8, only one of these developed a problem after just a week's use. The switch had malfunctioned. I was able to fix the problem by twisting the base contact spring clockwise several times. There is a spring under that contact that apparently wasn't secured, and needed to be "screwed" back into place. I used a split-ring plier to disassemble the switch to discover the problem.

Don, you might try twisting that base contact switch clockwise several times to fix the problem. If that does not work, you might try disassembling the switch, and directly "twisting" that spring back into place. (Posted on 1/19/10)

Order placed on 12/6/09, and three and a half weeks later, I still have not received my order. I tried sending emails (four to be precise) to the address provided when I received the order confirmation and have not received one response. I tried calling the phone number and was directed to a voicemail. After a couple of voicemails and one week later, still no response and my order still has not come in. I bought one of these originally. I took it out of the box, put in some generic batteries and was blown away. Holy crap this thing is bright. It is at least 3 times brighter than my other 3 watt 2C cell flashlight that cost me 3 times as much. I was so surprised at the quality that I bought 4 more for gifts and emergency lights in the car.

I didn't look at the size specs, so when it came it was quite a bit smaller than what I pictured in my mind - which is a good thing to me. I love that it is small and fits in a pocket easily.

Just a note - I've noticed that this website is not very clear and quite vague on information and comparisons about the lights. I have both the F-NF015 and the F-NF011 and they are the exact same flashlight in different cases. The electronics, bulb, and reflector are identical - the 15 has a smoother finish and the 11 is more rugged, that's it. (Posted on 12/29/09)

Ordered 2 of these (along with some other stuff), and got them yesterday. Did a comparison in a dark room at home with a few lights I already own and they are bright but 200 lumens? I don't know about that... Anyway they both seem like solid units and for $12.00 they are most def worth the price. I wouldn't hesitate to order from here again!
FYI... I also got a Tank 1 AAA cell EDC flashlight and was really impressed with it! Take a look at those as well if you want a good little super-bright light that carries as easily as a tube of Chapstick! (Posted on 12/20/09)

I ordered seven and only six work. I am not exactly clear yet on who pays for what exactly as far replacing the one that doesn't work. I have this feeling, if I read Golden's return policy correctly that I am paying to send the bad apple back, and it has to be a Fedex or UPS type of carrier, which means I have just paid twice as much for one of them if they don't reimburse. I only live a half hour away from them and I am hoping I can just drive there and exchange the one they do have in stock rather than wait for Hong Kong to deliver it.

That aside, I put new batteries in one of them and took the dogs out this evening for our 20 minute walk around the neighborhood. I had a blast lighting up stop signs before a car's headlight's lit it. Yes, it might be nice if it had the mag lite feature of an adjustable beam, but really for the price, you are going to be hard pressed to find something that delivers the same performance. I own about 50 LED flashlights. This one (which is labeled "SacredFire NF-015) is the brightest one I have. It is an outstanding value for the amount of light it produces. The beam is not adjustable. Just got mine today -- shoulda ordered two! Well-built and definitely no lightweight, but this thing has a great throw *and* an impressive flood. Feels good in the hand and the solid clicky inspires confidence. I wish there was a whole line of accessories now. Only drawbacks I can think of: (1) Black flashlights make no sense to me for obvious reasons, and (2) would be nice if it had a metal belt clip built in. (Posted on 12/3/09)

Mine showed up today, and the light output is very impressive! Construction is solid. Well worth the price, and it sure is bright. Strong center beam, as well as an area-lighting outer one. I just got this the other night (it did take over 2 weeks though) popped fresh tripAs in and WOW!! I've had many different LED flashlights over the years, and this one takes the cake. I have an older 5 watt Luxeon 4-C "Extreme Lite" and this one blows it away. Not to mention, when I bought the Extreme Lite about 4 years ago, it cost me about $80. Now this one at $12!!!!! bucks and outshines it easily. By the way, this light throws very well - I was lighting up the treeline behind my house at about 100' away and it was throwing quite a tight spot. Love it. (Posted on 11/16/09)

I was previously carrying a COAST LED LENSER for which I paid about $50.00, and this light blows it away!!! Now several of my co-workers want me to order one for them!! I just got these and was immediately blown away with the light output. Generates Ohhhs and wows to whomever I show it to. Its not even a contest when I compare it to my old Maglite 4D. If you want a cheap small flashlight with a bright output, look no further.

-feels sturdy enough, doesn't seem water proof since there are no rubber gaskets
-Makes all other regular flashlights look like they were made for kids.
-small and lighweight

When on sale for around eleven bucks or so, these little lights can't be beat. Not for sure about the actual lumens that are put out, but it's bright enough for anything that I need.

Ordered one for the home and after I was pleasantly surprised with it, ordered another for my vehicle.

I really like the size too. Big enough to get a good grip on, but not a big C-cell or D-cell monster that weighs alot.

Makes my $20 Mini-Maglite (non-LED) look like a toy flashlight. It's not even close how much brighter this light is. (Posted on 11/4/09)
