This retractable is inexpensive, but well-designed. The cable itself is completely flat and stretches almost five feet. It extends and retracts perfectly without any kinking. I bought it because when I left my regular ethernet cable in my study carrell at the library at my university, the library staff thought it was theirs and took it. Now I can carry this in a small pocket of my backpack and I have no more fear that it will be stolen.
