Off Grid use with battery backup power supply Review by Barry
Rating I tested with a 3 watt hour 12 volt battery taken from my computer backup power supply. The light ran for 36 hours before battery went low. It was still lighting when I stopped the test. I did not want to run battery all the way down. Great light. Used it as emergency lighting test. We plan on using it in our cabin off grid. Running this light connected to a deep cycle Walt-Mart $50 dollar battery rated at 75 watt hours should yield a run time of approximatly 37.5 24 hour days of light. My hope is price will fall to same level as 110 volt comparable product. (Posted on 12/3/09)

Warm 120 volt lamp works great in a small track housing 120v...120V Review by DigitalSteve
Rating This was shipped to me by mistake, I ordered the 12VDC bi-pin version, I tried this and it works fine, in a 120vac screw in type fixture. THE DESCRIPTION SAYS 12V DC IT IS NOT!!!! Nice warm color, similar to incandecent. My other 12VDC LEDs are 5500k and make the white (on the posters in my theater room) look white, this one makes the whites look more yellow. Too dim for general lighting, but great for mood lighting. It gets warm, but not super hot, like the 20watt halogen it replaced.
***GG NOTE: We offer the L-A3W in both the 12V DC version as well as a 120V AC model. Here is the link to the 120V AC Model: http://www.goldengadgets.com/l-a3w-110v-ac-3-watt-3-x-1-watt-led-light-bulb.html*** (Posted on 11/28/09)
