Outstanding DC Lighting Review by Bud Herod Northern Illinois
Rating These are somewhat pricey, but I have been using the smaller 60 LED version as area lighting for my solar pop-up camper when we go camping for a week or more.
Three of the 60 LED lamps will nicely light a foot print roughly 15 X 30 feet on a pitch black night. Since I started "Solar" camping many other campers have come to see the lights and find out where I hide my generator since "It is so quiet that I seem to leave them on all night". Trouble is so many people come over now that everyone tries to jamb into the lighted area making sitting outside of an evening somewhat uncomfortable. I also keep the batteries under load during the winter to
to help prolong their life by running the solar panel and my outdoor camper lights. So now I got two of these 12 VDC 120 LED units and I am amazed. I have a lighted 30 X 60 foot foot print and the amount of light produced is literally the same as the the 120 VAC 120 LED lamps I have across the rear of my home. My neighbors think I may have a screw loose, but they always come to see the lights. (Posted on 12/11/09)
