Great, while it lasted... Review by James

As Matthew said, at about half the brightness of a CFL, it's perfect for a reading light. I used it in a desk lamp near my PC.

But, I expected more than 23 months out of this $10 bulb.
Nevertheless, averaging about 10 hours of usage per day, I saved about $8 in energy costs vs a standard 13W CFL bulb... so I broke even. When the price drops, I'll buy another.

I ordered the warm white to use in a stem lamp in my living room in a reading area.

I must say WOW!

It is even better then I expected.

It adds a lovely ambiance.

I will be ordering more. (Posted on 9/10/10)
Great, but use new diffuser model Review by Matthew

Works great as a reading light. The last time I ordered one it came as the new "L-A3W-F" model instead with replaceable diffuser lenses for spot or flood -- that one is much more highly recommended. (Posted on 7/6/10)
